Moved House..again.

Moved to our 3rd New House… again.
Last maulidulrasul it was on the Tuesday of 11 April 2006 we moved to our new (…hmm rented) house at kampung kolam. So the new address..

Lot PT 15179, Taman Limbong Jaya, Kg Loimbong Kolam Paka 234100 Paka Trg.

The house is HUGE!! I was wondering whether or not all our stuff would ever be able to fill it. It’s not that we have tones of stuff but it did took us two 3 tonnes lorry trip back and forth to kerteh and kg kolam. This ‘taman” its actually just a one road lane of one of the existing taman in kg kolam.. and yes there is 1 kolam at the kg and it was previously intended for a “Project Desa: Ternak Ikan” and now the only thing that kolam “ternak” is lalang. And once and a while we would have this breath of fresh air coming from the kolam; nicely quoting my wife “bau macam dok sebelah indah water jer!”

The house has 3 rooms and 3 toilets and a huge garden area. Mok Aji ( the mother of the landlord ..) have planted some fruit trees.. Rambutan, mempelam and other. The master bedroom is abit small but ok.

Anyhow everything else is excellent. Surau is really close to the house and we do have 1 madrasah for the kids for iqra classes and also hafiz classes. Had a nice one to one talk to one of the guys in tabligh about sending my kids for tahfiz classes. He told me that we should only encourage our kids to attend but never force them. Life in tahfiz classes is not for the weak hearted. Imagine this.. everyday you have to wake up at 4.30am for tahajjud and recite the quran until subuh.. then after that you have to recite some more until about 11.30am.. then you have a 1 hour break. After zohor no activities until after azar where you have to recite the quran again. You’ll have 1hour of kitab reading and then magrib and isya prayer. The total hours minimum per day to recite the quran is about 6 hours. And typically students will be able to memorized 30 juzuk by their 3rd year.

Phuh.. that’s an excellent routine. Every night tahajjud and all your prayers are done at the mosque. 5 times a day in jemaah!

There’s a hadith by Anas Ibn Maalik (Radiallaho Anho) narrates that he heard Rasulullah (Sallallaho Alaihi Wassallam) saying, “A person who, in all sincerity, is constant in his Salaah with Jamaah for forty days, without missing being present when the person leading Salaah starts Salaah by saying Allah o Akbar receives two awards: one of freedom from Jahannam and the other of freedom from hypocrisy.”

And they’re just 10-12 years of age!
